Deposit Operations Assistant

 

Job Summary
This job performs tasks related to item processing and the oversight of deposit account operations. Assisting with IRA operations and regulations are a focal point for this position. Scope of duties include assisting with IRA and HSA daily maintenance and monitoring to ensure accurate tax reporting, insufficient and non-posted items, GL and application balancing, hold and stop payment review, ATM and debit card operations, customer and account maintenance review and exception monitoring, communication by email and telephone with customers and staff, and assisting with regulator and compliance activities.  


Primary Location/Schedule: 

  • 3110 S Delaware, Springfield MO 65804
  • 8:00 pm - 5:00 pm Monday – Friday; occasional additional hours as needed
  • Full-time – 40 hours per week average


Position Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of three years in retail banking including teller transactions and new accounts
  • Prior experience in a deposit operations role preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of IRA operations and IRS regulations preferred
  • Prior experience with FED/MIB and with Jack Henry software preferred
  • Prior BaaS and Mastercard Principal Member experience a plus
  • AAP or NCP certification a plus
