The Events and Promotions Representative is responsible for developing recruitment strategies and cultivating the donor pool for CBCO Donor Centers. They will oversee a promotions schedule for the donor centers to ensure productivity to meet goals and inventory needs in the centers. They will manage the organic social media for the organization. In addition, this position will seek sponsorship from the community for events and promotions. Remote work is not available at this time. The on-site location is 220 W. Plainview Rd. Springfield, MO 65810.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate a calendar of events for donor centers in coordination with the Center Communications Supervisor and DR team.
Manages the Blood Booster program for centers by recruiting donor groups for in-center blood drives, maintaining a regular schedule of groups, communicating with Blood Booster groups to send marketing materials, provide support, answer questions, etc.
Develops ongoing promotional strategies for each donor center in the region.
Manage organic social media.
Works with Donor Recruitment and Marketing staff, as needed, to develop and carry out a donor center promotional plan, as well as event planning, venue booking, ordering equipment/resource materials, onsite logistics, talking points, etc. to ensure each event is successful and aligns with CBCO brand.
May organize and represent CBCO at promotional appearances at various venues such as clubs, schools, and community activities.
Works with Media Relations Representative on news/promotions.
Utilizes Donor Recruitment Management Software to create donor communication campaigns.
Manages team project tasks/timeline through Asana.
May seek sponsorship (in-kind or cash donations) for each promotional event to offset recruitment costs and build excitement.
Cultivates, nurtures, and maintains relationships with key contacts at area sponsoring organizations.
Works with Digital Marketing Strategist to utilize donor recruitment data to target donor market segments and build effective campaigns.
Documents relevant data and provides production summary reports to management team.
Coordinates wrap-up meetings after each event/promotion.
Provides excellent customer service, cultivating positive working relationships with all staff, volunteers, and external customers.
Exhibits safety, accuracy, respectfulness, and efficiency within specific job tasks.
May support mobile promotional needs as requested.
Other duties as assigned.
Must be able to see and read from a computer screen.
Must have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely via written communication, telephone and in person.
Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs.
Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of marketing/donor recruitment experience preferred.
Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience in email marketing and design preferred.
Experience with HTML editing and email best practices.
Must have the ability to think strategically about promoting the mission and its issues.
Must have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities and projects.
Must have excellent attention to detail and follow through.
Must have demonstrated ability and willingness to take initiative and work both independently and as a team player.
Knowledge of blood banking and previous non-profit, health-related experience preferred.
Must have a valid drivers’ license and clean driving record.
