Not-for-Profit Organizations
Stronger Together Springfield is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping communities become safer, more connected, and more resilient through collaboration, prevention, and shared learning.
We believe the people living and working in a community are the experts on their own experiences. By bringing together healthcare systems, schools, nonprofits, neighborhood leaders, researchers, local government, businesses, and residents, we help communities better understand the challenges they face and identify practical solutions together.
Our work includes leading Springfield's implementation of the Cardiff Model, an internationally recognized violence prevention approach that combines anonymous emergency department data with community partnerships to better understand patterns of violent injury. Working alongside healthcare partners and Missouri State University's Public Health Program, we help transform data into meaningful conversations that guide prevention efforts and strengthen community decision-making.
In addition to the Cardiff Model, Stronger Together facilitates community listening, supports neighborhood resilience initiatives, develops educational programming, and creates opportunities for organizations to collaborate around shared goals. Rather than focusing on a single issue or organization, we work to strengthen the connections between people, systems, and communities—because lasting change happens when we learn and work together.
Our vision is a Springfield where every person feels safe, connected, valued, and empowered to help create a stronger community.
