Representative Melanie Stinnett proudly serves Greene County (District 133) in the Missouri House of Representatives, which encompasses much of west Springfield. She was first elected in November 2022 and is now serving her second term after being reelected in 2024.
In addition to her legislative duties, Stinnett is a healthcare executive and speech-language pathologist. A majority of her career has been spent as a small business owner with a recent transition to working in the non-profit sector.
In the legislature, Stinnett serves as Vice-Chair of the House Healthcare Reform Committee and sits on several other committees addressing health, licensing, and government accountability. Stinnett and her husband Nathan reside in Springfield with their two sons.
