Ribbon Cutting and Open House to Celebrate New Pastor and Community Partnership at Seminole Baptist Temple in Springfield SPRINGFIELD, Missouri – On Friday, April 3, 2020, at 11 a.m., Seminole Baptist Temple will celebrate their renewed commitment to the community of Springfield and their new Pastor, Chantha Chhim, with a Ribbon Cutting and Open House. The Ceremony will take place at Seminole Baptist Temple, located at 4221 South National Avenue, Springfield, Missouri 65810. On January 12, 2020, Chantha Chhim began his service as lead pastor at Seminole Baptist Temple. Chantha brought with him an enthusiasm to integrate into the community of Springfield in a way that shows lasting commitment and relationship. “I love being a bridge builder.” Chantha commented, “Healthy communities are ones that are intentional about progressing the overall welfare for everyone. Seminole is excited to play a vital role in being integral members of our city.” The Ribbon Cutting will be followed by an Open House for guests to tour the facility and learn about the dedication of the church to the community, its history and plans for future partnership. Also highlighted will be Seminole commitment to helping local businesses, organizations and schools grow and thrive by offering the free use of the facility on S. National, as well as, offering volunteers and professionals to help with local needs in the community. Started in 1957, Seminole Baptist is a long-standing member of the community. Located on the busy intersection of National Avenue and Republic Road, Seminole stands out amongst Springfield businesses. Seminole is already partnering with community projects such as Victory Mission and International Institute Southwest Missouri. Seminole has a relationship with Springfield Public Schools, providing support to Disney and Cowden Elementary and Kickapoo High School. Seminole hosts their own recreational soccer league, Seminole Soccer, and a multitude of other community events at their campus.
