What You’ll Do:
Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement financial procedures that align with CCSOMO’s mission and long-term goals.
- Partner with the CEO and senior leadership team to evaluate funding models, new initiatives, and capital projects.
- Provide strategic financial analysis and forecasting to guide executive decision-making.
- Lead agency-wide risk management and fiscal policy development.
Financial Management & Oversight
- Oversee preparation of annual budgets, multi-year forecasts, and capital planning.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, FASB, IRS 990, and all federal/state grant regulations.
- Manage cash flow, reserves, investments, and debt to maintain liquidity and sustainability.
- Oversee the annual audit process, ensuring transparency and responsiveness to findings.
External Relations
- Serve as the primary liaison with banks, auditors, investment advisors, and funders.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to assess the financial feasibility of grants, contracts, and major gifts.
- Represent the organization in financial matters with donors, funders, and community partners.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise the finance and compliance departments, ensuring a culture of accountability, accuracy, and transparency.
- Provide coaching and professional development for finance and compliance team members.
- Partner with program, human resources, and operational leaders to align financial and organizational strategies.

Possesses a strong commitment to the mission of Catholic Charities, including the understanding of Catholic Social Teaching and the ability to demonstrate the philosophy and values of the agency. Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar certification.
- Eight or more years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience with strategic planning and audits, and risk management.
- This position requires a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Financial leadership experience in a non-profit setting.
