Development & Creative Coordinator
As HFO’s Development & Creative Coordinator in Springfield, Missouri, you’ll earn $22.00 an hour by helping us stay organized, share our message, and connect with donors in meaningful ways. This role blends creative writing, graphic design, donor database management, event planning, and administrative support, all to strengthen our fundraising, outreach, and donor efforts. Your work frees up the executive team to focus on growth while you focus on communications, logistics, and operations.
No two days look the same, and as part of a small non-profit, you’ll wear many hats. You’ll work closely with the Executive Director and Assistant Executive Director to support the organization’s efforts through writing and sending donor emails, creating flyers and social media graphics, updating donor records, coordinating events from prep to follow-up, and handling day-to-day administrative tasks like organizing files and scheduling appointments.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be detail-oriented, proactive, organized, and tech-savvy. You should feel confident managing shifting priorities, staying on top of deadlines, and communicating clearly with others (in-person and over the phone).
We’re looking for someone with experience in nonprofits, communications, or administrative support, along with comfort using tools like Canva, Google Workspace, and customer relationship management (CRM) databases. You don’t need to know everything on day one but you do need to be ready to jump in, learn quickly, and keep things running smoothly.
We value people who are passionate about our compassionate end-of-life care, comfortable engaging in sensitive topics like hospice and aging, and are ready to provide steady support from day one. We’re a small collaborative team that cares deeply about our work and each other.
