Missouri State University is accepting applications for a GRANTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGER in the Center for Resource Planning & Management.  Responsibilities include overseeing the Grants Administrator position and ensuring the successful administration of grant-funded projects. This position sets standards, deadlines, and procedures for grant proposals, as well as supervises the compliance with organizational, foundation, state, or federal standards. In addition to grant administration, this position leads various environment-related projects and conducts environmental reviews or assessments for grant applications. This role is responsible for the successful administration of grant-funded projects both before and after the awards process and establishes standards and deadlines for proposals, reviews proposals for completeness, and ensures compliance for organizational, foundation, state, or federal standards. Work includes conducting outreach and education, especially to rural and/or marginalized groups to ensure they take full advantage of available funding opportunities for unmet needs within our communities, as well as prioritizing potential projects and assisting with the grant application process. The Grants and Environmental Manager provides technical assistance to local governments in administering state and federally-funded grants related to economic development, economic recovery, disaster recovery, disaster mitigation, resiliency, public health and safety, transportation, water and wastewater systems, and other planning and implementation projects, including the completion of environmental reviews and impact studies, analysis of census and other statistical data, review of project budgets, coordination of assurances, writing project narratives, and reporting to local elected officials or boards on project progress.
