REPORTS TO: Chief Operating Officer (COO)


GENERAL FUNCTIONS: The Member & Employee Engagement Coordinator will work closely with the COO and Member Engagement team to actively promote the Chamber and support its mission through the planning and execution of member engagement activities to provide valuable programming and business assistance. They will also assist with employee engagement efforts to build and maintain employee loyalty and job satisfaction.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Including but not limited to:


 Provide primary leadership for member engagement activities, including ribbon cuttings and groundbreakings.

 Provide primary staff support for the Chamber Ambassadors Committee.

 Assist with membership events including Maximize Your Membership, 60 Minutes to Success, Biz Blitz, Small Business Award Lunch, and Business After Hours (in conjunction with the Member Engagement Manager).

 Receive and manage incoming calls from members to process payments or make updates to their member records.

 Promote activities of the membership engagement committees to the online community of members through the Chamber’s social media channels. 

 Provide support in the areas of employee engagement, including recognition of staff members on social media channels and planning and coordination of staff activities and celebrations.

 Create and update content for internal bi-weekly newsletter. (potential)

 Manage the employee wellness program. (potential)

 Attend Chamber meetings and events, assisting with planning or logistics as needed.


 

CRITERIA/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • College degree in Marketing or Communications preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Professional telephone, email and in-person customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and standard office equipment.
  • Flexibility to work with a diverse group of members, volunteers, and community contacts.
