Location: Springfield, MO
Department/Program: Maternal and Family Programs/LifeHouse Crisis Maternity Home
Primary Shift: As needed for days, evenings, and some weekends.
Job Classification: PRN (as needed)
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Salary: $21.50 - $23.00 Hourly
Travel Required (Y/N, %): Y, 40% (local)

Are you interested in making a difference in the lives of pregnant women and their children? At LifeHouse Crisis Maternity Home, as our Mental Health Counselor, you'll assist our women therapeutically in one-to-one and group settings while working through trauma, addiction, coping skills, pre/post-partum depression and assist in bettering the lives of our women.
What You’ll Do:
- Plan and provide individual mental health counseling and intervention for adults and young children.
- Facilitate group therapy and psychoeducational groups.
- Maintain necessary paperwork and clients’ notes, including treatment plans/updates, progress notes, release of information forms, assessments, etc.
- Communicate with area mental health providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide staff training when requested.
- Attending training and development programs to increase professional growth and maintain licensure.
- Provide couples’ counseling as necessary and appropriate.
- Attending community networking meetings.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

All you need for success:
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s in social work, counseling, or psychology.
- Licensure or Provisional Licensure with active supervision.
- This position requires a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance.
Preferred:
- Experience working with individuals with homelessness, substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, and personality disorders.
