Senior Architecct
Join Ireland Architects!!!
Are you looking for work/life balance? YES, it DOES exist!!!! Does only working 40 hours a week as an architect sound good - with no guilt or shame? Do you want to make a difference in our community? Would you like input on the types of projects you work on? Have you ever been given a Project Manual directing how a project is to proceed or have you been thrown in to figure it out for yourself? Do you know how many hours you are scheduled to work on a project? Wouldn't it be nice if someone else dealt with Construction Administration so you had more time for DESIGN!??! Wouldn't it be nice to have a little help with personal errands so you can spend more quality time after work? Do you want to work with only High Performers? If you received a bonus, was it a significant amount? Would working from home when your kids are sick or out of school help with daycare costs or stress? Is working in an open office space a distraction?
Join Ireland Architects and we can help you make these things a reality - we've been doing it for 25 years!! We even have two employees that have been with the company for over 20 years!! We have a project process in writing (Yup, we wrote "the book") to help streamline the process - spending less time on things you don't need to and prioritizing your time on things you need to. Meeting deadlines is important and this process efficiency helps you do that AND have more time after work. You will have your own cubicle which helps reduce distractions We have great benefits PLUS an errand service to help with personal items, i.e. picking up the groceries you order, taking the permission slip to school that your child forgot, picking up a gift and wrapping it, etc. We find this service helps take some of the stress off of life which gives you capacity to concentrate on work, when you are here.
Years ago I developed a software program that will tells you each week how much time you have spent and how much time is left, on each project you work on! You never have to guess where you on the number of hours spent on a project and how many are left!
Many firms may say you only have to work 40 hours but if you are paid a salary and work over 40 hours - you typically don't get paid for those extra hours. At Ireland Architects you get the benefits of being paid salary, i.e. paid vacation, paid sick time off, etc. BUT get paid hourly so IF overtime is authorized, you get paid 1 1/2 times your hourly rate!!!!! We do this because we are so convinced that if you use our project process, you won't have to work over 40 hours to meet deadlines - but if you do, we will make sure you are fairly compensated for it!! That's how serious we are about honoring your personal time!!
Bonuses: We've had some employees receive 5 figure bonuses the last two years!!
Working in a small firm means you matter, get a say of the direction of the firm, but that doesn't mean we don't have the latest technology - we use Virtual Reality, have 49" computer monitors, latest Revit version, use AI for note taking 100% health insurance paid for employees and your children, 401K plan (with maximum matching) and continuing education available. Advancement is available.
We have a deliberate growth plan as we are looking for the RIGHT people. Working at Ireland Architects is not for everyone - just High Performers. We are small because we don't tolerate Low Performers. How much better would your work life be working only with High Performers?
