Burrell Behavioral Health hires Dee King as Chief of Staff

6/15/2021

Burrell Behavioral Health is pleased to announce the hiring of Dee King as Chief of Staff.

As Chief of Staff, King will serve as a primary liaison for President & Chief Executive Officer C.J. Davis in both internal and external capacities, as a point of contact and between Burrell’s executive office and the organization’s board of directors, employees and stakeholders.

King joined Burrell on June 1 after working in business and community development positions in the banking and hospitality industries, most recently as Corporate Services Development Officer at Guaranty Bank. King has held numerous community leadership positions, including her current term as Vice Chair of The Network, the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce’s organization for young professionals, and Chair of the Southwest Missouri 2021 Cattle Baron's Ball to benefit the American Cancer Society. King was named one of Springfield Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 in 2017 and Biz417’s 10 for the Next 10 in 2020. She is a graduate of Leadership Springfield Class 31 and serves on the CoxHealth Young Professional Council.

“Dee is a master communicator, a respected voice in our community, and brings a passion to share the Burrell mission from day one,” said Davis. “I can’t think of a finer representative to serve as an extension of myself and Burrell in the 25 counties we serve and beyond.”

King graduated from Missouri State University in 2008 with a Business Degree.

“I am incredibly excited to join the Burrell team and help further the goals of C.J., the board of directors and executive leadership,” King said. “We have an amazing opportunity to shape the conversation and the future of behavioral health care in the Midwest, and I am both grateful for and inspired by the chance to be part of this organization.”
