Kevin H. Dunaway of Evans & Dixon has recently been appointed to serve on the firm’s Futures Committee. The goal of this eleven-person committee is to position the firm in the distant future for achievable success. They meet quarterly to discuss future challenges and opportunities presented by social, technological, market and consumer changes and any other issues that have a potential impact on the legal industry as a whole. The committee has prioritized these key areas in 2021:

• Succession Planning

• Work From Home policy

• Space & Equipment needs

• Data analytics

• Client Experience

“Since the only constant in business is change, I think it’s important for the firm to cast itself in a proactive rather than a reactive stance,” said Kevin Dunaway. “With a changing landscape at the firm, different market conditions driving business, the current pandemic, having a 3-5 year plan today was important for us to continue our success into the future, thus the committee was born.”

Evans & Dixon’s Futures Committee has nearly completed year one, and they look forward to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
