2022 SBDC Annual Meeting

Thursday, March 3, 2022 (11:00 AM - 1:00 PM) (CST)

Description

Make plans to join the Springfield Business Development Corporation, the Chamber's economic development arm, for the 2022 SBDC Annual Meeting. We are looking forward to hearing from Harvard Business School Professor and visiting fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, Joseph Fuller on the “hidden worker” and how companies can close their skills gaps by hiring workers who are systematically filtered out by traditional hiring processes.

Fuller oversees two ongoing research projects for Harvard Business School, one of which is focuses on Managing the Future of Work. His most recent paper in connection with this project, Hidden Workers, Untapped Talent, investigates how the ways in which companies implement their processes for attracting and evaluating job candidates artificially constrains the applicant pool and exacerbates the skills shortage. With workforce shortages on the minds of business across the country, this will be a keynote you will not want to miss!

Join us Thursday, March 3 at the Oasis Hotel and Convention Center from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Register today!
