2023 SBDC Economic Outlook

Join us to gain economic insight from two St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank economists on state and national economic trends as you prepare for the year ahead. 

Kathleen Navin is a Senior Business Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis in the Division of Supervision with a focus on analyzing and presenting economic and banking conditions across the United States. Prior to joining the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Navin held the position of Economics Executive Director in US Economics at S&P Global Market Intelligence, where she analyzed economic data and developed alternative macroeconomic scenarios for use in bank stress testing. Navin graduated from the University of Missouri with a Master of Arts degree in Economics in 2008.


Nathan Jefferson is an Associate Economist in the Division of Research at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, where he is focused on analysis of economic conditions nationally and in the Eighth Federal Reserve District. In this role, he contributes to the Beige Book reports provided to the Federal Open Market committee, as well as other publications and Bank initiatives. Prior to coming to the St. Louis Fed, Nathan completed an M.P.P. at the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago.
