Description
Join Chamber members to hear an update from Missouri Dept. of Corrections Director Anne Precythe and Division of Offender Rehabilitative Services Valarie M. Moseley. They will share insights on current department efforts and initiatives, including the Missouri Reentry Program and ways for employers to engage, as the state continues to search for innovative approaches to address the ongoing workforce shortage.
The Missouri Dept. of Corrections oversees 19 adult correctional facilities, six community supervision centers, two transition centers, and more than 40 probation and parole offices across the State of Missouri. This includes approximately 10,000 staff, 54,000 probationers and parolees, and 23,000 inmates.
Director Precythe brings three decades of service as a Corrections professional to this role, and immediately prior to serving as Director, she served as the Director of Community Corrections in the North Carolina Department of Public Safety. Division Director Moseley helped launch the Reentry 2023 program, making Missouri the first state to join this national initiative.
