Join us as we celebrate the brand new Leonard Apartments, a new property that is a part of the Good Samaritan Boys Ranch. The Ranch helps at risk boys aged 10-21, so as they grow and mature, it is important to help them learn the life skills needed when they are totally independent. The first step to independence is a program called 'First Steps'. Boys here are completing high school, getting jobs, learning how to budget, cook, etc., but they still have significant staff and treatment programs. Leonard Apartments allows them to be totally on their own, but with staff close by, as the apartments are located next door to Foot Steps. There are eight (8) one bedroom apartments, and the building also houses a community laundry facility and offices for Good Samaritan’s family services and meeting rooms. The young men residing here are gaining their first experience on being on their own as Leonard Apartments are the final step for youth, who have been abused and/or neglected to total independence. These apartments have been made possible by the naming gift of Gary and Bridgette Leonard. Additional funding came from other local donors and YOP tax credits. Following the Ribbon Cutting will be an Open House to tour the apartments
